A Wattpad alternative for branching stories
If you are moving after an account problem, a surprise charge, or a change in how your work is discovered, compare the next platform by what it actually gives writers and readers—not by promises.
When The Secret Level may fit
The Secret Level is designed for episodic stories where readers make choices. Writers create branches and endings in the writing desk, submit work for review, and publish into a catalogue built around interactive reading.
- Native choices and multiple endings
- Story drafting, covers, and submission in one place
- New and Hot discovery sections
- Community discussions on each published story
- Reader membership and coin rules shown on the site
- Human review before publication
What to check before moving
Back up your original manuscript and review the rules of both platforms before removing or republishing anything. Check any agreement you accepted for exclusivity, ownership, notice periods, or payment obligations.
The Secret Level is an independent service and is not affiliated with Wattpad. It is a focused alternative for interactive fiction, not a copy of Wattpad's social network or catalogue.
How publishing works here
Create an account, choose the Writer plan, build your story and episodes, then submit it for review. AI support is available for drafting and packaging, but nothing is inserted without your approval.
Turn your draft into a published story
Keep control of every suggestion, build branching chapters, and submit your work for review on one platform.
